Examination and summery of information received from territorial subdivisions on criminal cases initiated on apparent crimes committed during the activity of employees of secondary, primary and vocational, as well as higher educational institutions from January 1, to November 20, 2018 was conducted in General Department of Control over Activity of Territorial Investigative Departments of the RA Investigative Committee.

Through examination it was found out that from January 1 to November 20, 2018 98 criminal cases on the mentioned cases were investigated in territorial subdivisions of the RA Investigative Committee.

77 of 98 criminal cases were investigated in regional investigative departments and 21 – in Yerevan Investigative Department and investigative divisions of administrative districts.

75 of the mentioned criminal cases were initiated on apparent crimes related to secondary educational institutions, 15 – to primary and vocational and 8 – to higher educational institutions. 3 of the criminal cases with the bill of indictment were sent to court, proceeding of 18 criminal cases was terminated 6 of which according to the Part 1 of the Article 37 of RA Criminal Procedure Code, 9 – according to the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 1 of the Article 35 of RA Criminal Procedure Code, 2 – according to the Point 13 of the Part 1 of the Article 35 and 1 – according to the Point 6 of the Part 1 of the Article 35 of RA Criminal Procedure Code. Two criminal cases were joint to other cases.

Preliminary investigation of 75 criminal cases is ongoing.

Within criminal cases initiated on crimes related to secondary, primary and vocational, as well as higher educational institutions 42 people were involved as a defendant. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against 40 of them, detention chosen as a pretrial measure against 1 defendant was replaced by pledge, and personal guarantee was chosen as a pretrial measure against 1 defendant.

20 of defendants were directors of educational institutions, 1 of them was deputy director, 2 of them – teachers, 2 – former directors, 1 was a former vice-rector, 14 – other employees of educational institutions and 2 were involved as those having given bribe.

In the observed period the damage caused to the state within criminal cases was 39.170.136 AMD 35.609.352 of which was restored.
