In the First Quarter of 2024 Damage in the Amount of 12 Billion 155 Million AMD Caused to the State Recovered within Criminal Proceedings Investigated in the RA Investigative Committee
Work done by the subdivisions of the RA Investigative Committee within the 3 months of 2024 has been summed up in General Department on Special Assignments of the RA Investigative Committee, among them work done to find and recover the damage caused by crime to the state, communities, civil and legal entities.
It was found out that in the first quarter of 2024 the pecuniary damage, in total, caused by crimes, disclosed within criminal proceedings has made 6.246.018.000 AMD, 5.043.265.000 AMD or 80.7% of which has been recovered.
Particularly,
The damage caused to the state has made 5.367.598.000 AMD, 4.908.355.000 or 91.4% of which has been recovered at the stage of preliminary investigation.
Out of the damage in the amount of 9.840.000 AMD caused to the community 2.630.000 AMD or26.7% has been recovered.
Out of the damage in the amount of 216.987.000 AMD caused to legal entities 50.873.000 AMD or 23.4% has been recovered.
Out of the damage in the amount of 651.593.000 AMD caused to natural persons 81.407.000 AMD or 12.4% has been recovered.
Besides, as of March 31, 2024 within incomplete criminal proceedings 7.361.033.000 AMD has been recovered in 2024, 7.246.241.000 AMD of which is damage caused to the state, 3.050.000 AMD – to the community, 9.010.000 AMD – to legal entities and 77.827.000 AMD – to natural persons.
That is, in 2024 out of the pecuniary damage caused within the completed and incomplete criminal proceedings 12.404.298.000 AMD in total has been recovered, 12.154.596.000 AMD of which is the damage caused to the state.
Out of the mentioned 12.154.596.000 AMD 8.498.766.000 AMD has been recovered within the criminal proceedings investigated in General Department of Investigation of Smuggling and Economic Crimes of the RA Investigative Committee of the Committee, significant recovery of damage has been provided by other subdivisions, as well, especially by the RA IC General Department on Special Assignments.
The main results of the recovery of damage caused to the state have been provided through disclosure of cases of tax evasion by various mechanisms in the spheres of alcohol, food production, construction and others, as a result of procedural and evidentiary actions conducted within the criminal proceedings related to them, investigated in the RA Investigative Committee.
