On December 18, 2022 at 20:15 a call was received from Gavar’s medical center informing that 31 year-old resident of Yerevan, with numerous injuries, dead in one of the houses of Sayadyan Street of Gavar, was taken to medical center.

A criminal proceeding was initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 155 of RA Criminal Code.

Inspection of the scene was conducted during which samples of blood-like traces, a folding knife, clothes and other items were taken. A number of people were questioned.

In the result of taken measures it was found out that a row had erupted between 31 year-old man and 42 year-old resident of Gavar at the mentioned address. During the argument the latter hit 31 year-old man for numerous times with an unidentified instrument on different parts of his body who died of the injuries he had received.

42 year-old resident of Gavar was arrested on the base of reasonable suspicion on the crime committal.

Forensic medical, forensic trace, forensic genetic expertise were commissioned. Assignments were given to the inquest body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
