Murder Committed in Gegharkunik Disclosed; One Person Arrested
On April 17, 2020 at 10:20 a call was received from “Chambarak Medical Center” CJSC informing that on the way to Shorzha in the car there was a body with firearm injury.
A criminal case was initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder) of RA Criminal Code.
In the result of investigatory actions and operative-intelligence measures it was found out that on April 17 from 00:00 to 01:00 on the 29th km of Tsovagyugh-Shorzha-Vardenis road 31 year-old resident of Gegharkunik province fired towards the car of “Porsch” make with a hunting gun of “MR-155” model. As a result, the driver of the car died at the scene of the bodily injuries he had sustained.
31 year-old man was arrested. The hunting gun which was the crime tool was presented to the investigative body.
Relevant forensic examinations were commissioned. Investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
