Murder in Gegharkunik Province; Resident of Same Province Arrested
On April 21, 2020 a call was received from a citizen informing that on the same day at about 13:00 the resident of Vahan village of Gegharkunik province stabbed his fellow villager on the head with an axe which caused the latter's death.
On the same day a criminal case was initiated in Sevan Investigative Division of Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder) of RA Criminal Code.
The resident of Vahan village was arrested on suspicion of committing the alleged crime.
Appropriate examinations were commissioned, investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
