Banditry in Yerevan; numerous shots fired towards entrepreneur

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts of the RA Investigative Committee on banditry committed on March 16 against currency exchange office.
 

On March 16 at 17:40 a call was received informing that banditry had been committed against the currency exchange office located at the market of Nor Norq.
 

The investigatory-operative group headed by the Head of the Investigative Division of Avan and Nor Norq administrative districts Aram Harutyunyan immediately left for the site.
 

According to initial data on March 16, 2016 at about 17:30 for the purpose of swindling somebody’s property through banditry the person having committed the apparent crime, masked, armed with a rifle, in dark blue “Mercedes” approached the currency exchange office which belonged to entrepreneur H. Asatryan. Getting out of the car the masked person demanded money threatening to use violence dangerous for H. Asatryan’s life and health. However, being refused with the purpose of killing the latter he fired numerous shots towards him in a way dangerous for many people’s life. Hearing the shots the employees of neighboring booths came up to the currency exchange office and the masked man escaped in a car.
 

Through inspection of the site 6 capsules, 4 bullets were found.
 

A criminal case was initiated according to the Points 6 and 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
 

An investigatory plan has been worked out, hypotheses have been put forward and necessary investigatory and procedural actions are conducted to verify them.
