Chairman of RA Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan received regional representative of US FBI

The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Aghvan Hovsepyan today received the delegation headed by the legal attaché of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation in the region Mrs. Kathleen Canning. The Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Ghambaryan, assistant legal attaché of the US FBI, representative of Bureau Mrs. Marlene Benson also took part in the meeting.
 

During the meeting the parties discussed a wide range of issues of mutual interest – issues on fulfillment of agreements obtained during RA IC Chairman’s visit to the USA, issues on providing professional aid in separate criminal cases and other ones. The US FBI’s attaché Mrs. Kathleen Canning confirmed their willingness to provide professional aid in the framework of the criminal case investigated in the RA Investigative Committee on explosion that took place on a passenger bus on April 25 in Yerevan. At the same time, she informed that in order to fulfill the obtained agreement criminological equipment will be provided to the RA Investigative Committee which will significantly contribute to efficient conduction of urgent investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case. Agreement was achieved to discuss the issues on cooperation in working order.
 

During the meeting the US FBI’s attaché Mrs. Kathleen Canning informed that the representative of Bureau Mrs. Marlene Benson is completing her mission in the region. The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee appreciated highly Mrs. Benson’s investment in formation of efficient cooperation between the Investigative Committee and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation and wished good luck in her new job – in the US FBI Academy. M. Benson thanked for warm attitude and efficient cooperation expressing confidence that it would continue hereafter, as well.
