On June 6, 2020 at about 23:40 based on the call on argument 4 police officers left for Nor Aresh Street, Yerevan where 52 year-old resident of Yerevan, who had been a police officer, being under the influence of alcohol argued with the driver of the car parked in front of his house. Noticing the police officers 52 year-old man scolded them, did not obey their legal demands, pulled them and damaged the uniform of one of the police officers, punched them causing physical pain.

A criminal case was initiated in Erebuni Police Division according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 (violence against a representative of authorities) of RA Criminal Code preliminary investigation of which is conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

The police officers were found the injured party, forensic medical examinations were commissioned.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 52 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
