The criminal case initiated in Prosecution Office on hindrance to the legal professional activities of journalist Tirayr Muradyan was received in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. 

According to the materials of the criminal case journalist of “Union of Informed Citizens” NGO Tirayr Muradyan submitted a report informing that on April 19 at about 08:30 in front of the third administrative building of the RA Government located in Aram’s Street of Yerevan carried out his work as a journalist when two people in civilian clothes attacked him, pushed him to the floor, hit him with hands and feet in the result of which he sustained bodily injuries. The journalist with bodily injuries was taken to “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” medical center.

A criminal case was initiated in Prosecution Office according to the Part 1 of the Article 164 of RA Criminal Code and was sent to the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department.

Conduction of preliminary investigation of the criminal case was tasked to the RA IC General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases by the RA IC Chairman.
