Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Ghambaryan received members of US assessment group
Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Artur Ghambaryan received the delegation of US Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs which arrived in Armenia to assess the needs in the sphere of the rule of law and justice.
An efficient cooperation has been formed with Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs focusing on protection of human rights during preliminary investigation of criminal cases, possible breaches of criminal procedural norms by investigative bodies, exclusion of abuse of authorities, training of investigators.
Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee stated that in the result of cooperation digitalization program of criminal cases has been introduced in the Investigative Committee in the result of which it is planned to have electronic archive with a search system. Development of the appropriate informational bases will significantly contribute to efficiency of investigation of criminal cases, as well as improvement of quality.
During the meeting a wide range of issues of great interest for both parties was discussed. At guests’ request A. Ghambaryan presented the strategic plans, priorities of the Investigative Committee and arrangements were made to continue the cooperation outlining new areas of cooperation.
