Newly Appointed Director of U.S. Embassy Yerevan's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Visited RA Investigative Committee; Issues on Cooperation Development Discussed (photos)

Arsen Ayvazyan, Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee received today the delegation headed by Zachary Barter, Director of the U.S. Embassy Yerevan's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

Arsen Ayvazyan congratulated Mr. Barter on his appointment to the mentioned position expressing confidence that under his leadership the deep and comprehensive cooperation already established with the Bureau will become more inclusive and effective. The Deputy Chairman of the Committee presented the functional and structural features of the institution, the projects implemented with the U.S. Embassy Yerevan's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs in different directions, the scope of material-technical support provided to the Committee by the U.S.A.

Mr. Barter noticed that extensive work has been done and the Bureau will continue the relationship development process based on the recorded results, also acting as a bridge for relations between the RA Investigative Committee and the U.S. law enforcement bodies and solving current problems.

During the meeting issues related to the expansion of programs for the development of professional skills of investigators in the areas of illegal turnover of narcotic drugs, cybercrimes, trafficking, domestic violence, money laundering, as well as acquisition of digital evidence and other key areas were discussed.
