Five Young Men Arrested on Suspicion of Hooliganism Committed with Item Used as Weapon
The criminal case initiated on hooliganism committed with items used as a weapon was received in the proceeding of the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
On January 18, 2019 information was received in Arabkir Division of the Police that on January 17, 2019 at about 16:00 during the raw erupted on not giving way and signaling at the crossroad of Azatutyun and N. Zaryan Streets of Yerevan the driver and the passengers of the car of “Opel Astra G” make got out of the mentioned car and started to hit the glasses of the car of “Mercedes 180” make with blackjacks causing pecuniary damage.
On January 19, 2019 a criminal case was initiated in Arabkir Division of the RA Police according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code which was sent to the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. The driver of the car of “Mercedes 180” make was found the injured party and was questioned.
In the result of investigatory and operative-searching measures those involved in the incident were identified; they are residents of Yerevan, born in 1995, 1996, 1994, 2000 and 1996.
On January 21, 2019 they were arrested on suspicion of committing hooliganism.
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case is ongoing. Necessary measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation, to personalize the actions of each of those involved and to give appropriate criminal legal assessment.
Forensic medical and forensic merchandising examinations were commissioned.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
