Hooliganism at Hotel Complex; Charge Pressed against 20 Year-Old Young Man
In the result of necessary investigatory and other procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Arabkir administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of apparent hooliganism committed by a 20 year-old young man were found out. Charge was pressed against the latter.
Through investigation it was found out that on July 17, 2019 at about 23:30 the young man, born in 2000, in one of the hotel complexes operating in Yerevan took part in his friend’s birthday party with a group of people. The young man, under the influence of alcohol, approached a girl who was in the club and tried to communicate with her after which a row erupted between him and a number of persons present in the club.
Then 20 year-old young man going on with hooligan actions in the yard of the complex roughly violated the public order, showed disrespect towards public which was combined with violence against those present in the club.
On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 20 year-old young man according to the Point 1 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
