In the result of urgent investigative and other procedural actions conducted in the Division of Investigation of Grave Crimes of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee a number of circumstances of hooliganism committed during the meeting held in Republic Square were found out.

In the result of taken measures it was found out that on April 22, 2021 at about 18:00 near Republic Square of Yerevan numerous people took part in the meeting held “In support of the arrested residents of Syunik”. Then they continued the meeting in front of the central entrance of the administrative building of the RA Prosecutor General’s Office during which 10 people involved in the mentioned meeting, ignoring the policemen’s requirements not to violate public order, obsessed with being different from others and emphasizing their own advantages, roughly violated the public order and scolded for a long time. Two of them hit the administrative building of the RA Prosecutor General's Office with various objects, caused anxiety and feeling of alarm among the policemen performing their service duties, the employees in the administrative building of prosecution office and the passers-by thus showing obvious disrespect towards the public.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the mentioned 10 participants according to the Part 1 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code and signature not to leave was used as a pretrial measure against them.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation of the criminal case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
