Preliminary Investigation of Criminal Case Initiated on Murder and Murder Attempt in Ejmiatsin Completed
Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder and murder attempt committed in Ejmiatsin was completed in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
It was earlier informed that on February 22, 2020 at about 11:20 for the purpose of illegal deprivation of fellow citizen’s life 62 year-old resident of Ejmiatsin fired shots towards the latter from a rifle of “AK-47” model with 7.62mm caliber and murdered him.
Then for the purpose of deprivation of life of the victim’s wife he fired shots towards her and her two juvenile children in a way dangerous for many people’s life. However, he could not complete the crime as the victim’s wife and children entered the house, closed the iron door and hid.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 62 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder), the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 (murder attempt) and the Part 1 of the Article 235 (illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.
Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
