In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee smuggling narcotic drugs to Armenia by an organized group was revealed, the members of the group were identified, their actions were personalized.
 

Through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that from May, 2015 to June 10 drugs were smuggled to the Republic of Armenia by the organized group and were sold to several persons.
 

In the result of investigatory actions of great volume conducted in the framework of the criminal case the members of the organized group were identified, evidence were obtained on the allegation that it had been formed by the initiative of the prisoners serving their term in penitentiary who also had supporters in freedom.
 

Particularly, while serving his term in “Hrazdan” penitentiary H. Kirakosyan reached agreement with the prisoner of the same penitentiary V. Karapetyan on smuggling drugs to Armenia through B. Mkrtchyan and selling them. In order to carry out the criminal activity of the organized group formed of the three citizens A. Harutyunyan and H. Nikoyan, who were in freedom, were involved as supporters.
 

According to the role distribution, B. Mkrtchyan, concealing from customs control, delivered drugs procured illegally from Greece to Armenia. In Armenia the drugs were received by H. Kirakosyan with the help of H. NIkoyan and the money received from the sale was collected and sent to B. Mkrtchyan. V. Karapetyan achieved agreement with those procuring drugs in Armenia, organized their sale with the help of A. Harutyunyan and H. Nikoyan.
 

On the base of the sufficient evidence obtained during pretrial proceeding charge was pressed against H. Kirakosyan, V. Karapetyan according to the Points 1, 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 266, the Points 1, 2 of the Part 4 of the Article 267.1 of RA Criminal Code, charge was pressed against A. Harutyunyan and H. Nikoyan according to the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 38-266 of RA Criminal Code.
 

The criminal case on B. Mkrtchyan’s part was separated as a separate proceeding, he was involved as a defendant according to the Points 1, 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 266, the Points 1, 2 of the Part 4 of the Article 267.1 of RA Criminal Code and search was declared against him.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
