Stabbing in Armavir; suspect arrested
A criminal case was initiated in Vagharshapat Investigative Division of Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on infliction of heavy bodily damage to two residents of the village of Norakert of Armavir region. In the result of investigatory-operative actions taken in the framework of the criminal case the person having committed the apparent crime was identified and arrested.
On September 29, 2016 at about 21:40 a call was received from medical center of Ejmiatsin informing that the minor resident of Norakert village of Armavir region with diagnosis of “cut-pierced penetrating wound on the left part of the chest – lung injury” and 52 year-old resident of the same village with bodily injuries on the chest were taken to medical center.
According to initial data, the 17 year-old and 52 year-old residents of Norakert village sustained bodily injuries on September 29 at about 20:00 during the row erupted on domestic affairs in front of the latter’s house.
A criminal case was initiated in Vagharshapat Investigative Division according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. In the result of urgent actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case the person having committed the apparent crime was identified. The latter was arrested and interrogated on circumstances of the case.
The two residents of the village of Norakert were found injured party, according to medical certificate they were not able to give testimony.
Inspection of the site was conducted, the clothes of the injured and the suspect, as well as the knife which was the crime tool were confiscated.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing, necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, objective and complete investigation of circumstances of the case, the relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to take operative-searching measures.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
