In the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee initiated on using violence against Harutyun and Mushegh Zaqaryan brothers at the area called “Sdghi Gyol” in Goris, Tigran Khachatryan was arrested.

Taking the public interest into consideration we inform that T. Khachatryan is suspected of inflicting heavy bodily damage to Harutyun Zaqaryan envisaged by the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code.

Earlier it was informed that in the result of investigatory and procedural actions conducted in the framework of the preliminary investigation the circumstances and the motive of the incident that took place on May 2 at the area called “Sdghi Gyol” were found, the persons who were present at the incident, and those who had participation in it were identified.

According to the obtained evidence a row erupted on May 2 at about 17 at the mentioned area on the car accident that had happened some hours before. In the result of the accident the mirror of the car driven by M. Zaqaryan had been damaged.

During the row violence was used against Harutyun and Mushegh Zaqaryans by a group of persons in the result of which M. Zaqaryan was inflicted medium gravity damage and H. Zaqaryan was inflicted heavy bodily damage.

In the result of the investigatory actions 6 persons were  involved as a defendant for battering M. Zaqaryan and inflicting him medium gravity damage.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee, necessary investigatory actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective examination of circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
