Charge pressed against one more person for violence against Mushegh Zaqaryan; search declared against the fourth defendant
Necessary investigatory and procedural actions are ongoing in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee to find the circumstances of using violence against Harutyun and Mushegh Zaqaryan brothers at the area called “Sdghi Gyol” in Goris, as well as the actions of each person having participated in the incident.
Taking the public interest into consideration, we inform that through investigation sufficient evidence were obtained on the allegation that among the persons having used violence against Mushegh Zaqaryan were RA citizens Sh. Davtyan and M. Khachatryan, as well.
On June 13 Sh. Davtyan was charged according to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code for inflicting medium-gravity damage to M. Zaqaryan by a group of persons and was interrogated. Signature not to leave was used as a pretrial measure against him.
On the base of the obtained evidence the investigative body made a decision to involve M. Khachatryan as a defendant pursuant to the Point 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code. The investigator submitted a motion to the Court of First Instance of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts to use detention as a pretrial measure against him. The motion was sufficed and on June 15 search was declared against him.
The appropriate subdivisions of the police were tasked to take necessary operative-searching measures to find Mayis Khachatryan.
Earlier it was informed that RA citizens D. Hakobyan and Y. Manucharyan were charged with inflicting medium-gravity damage by a group of persons to M. Zaqaryan. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against them.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee. Additional information on the results of investigation and procedural decisions will be provided.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
