In the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee a new charge was pressed against the defendant Yuri Manucharyan.

Taking the public interest into consideration we inform that Yu. Manucharyan was charged with infliction of medium-gravity damage to Mushegh Zaqaryan’s health, heavy damage to Harutyun Zaqaryan’s health during the row that took place on May 2 at the area called “Sdghi Gyol” in Goris.

According to preliminary investigation data on May 2 at about 15:00 a road accident happened in Independence Street of Goris. Two cars crashed in the result of which the side mirror of the car driven by M. Zaqaryan was damaged.

In order to make clarifications on the mentioned matter, according to the agreement they had reached, on the same day at about 17:00 the participants of the incident met at the area called “Sdghi Gyol” in Goris, other persons were involved in the row, as well. During the row violence was used against Mushegh and Harutyun Zaqaryans by a group of persons.

While being willfully battered M. Zaqaryan was inflicted medium-gravity damage. According to the obtained evidence, Yu. Manucharyan hit different parts of M. Zaqaryan’s body, face with hands and feet, he also hit the latter’s head with a car muffler. Sh. Davtyan, D. Hakobyan, S., E. and M. Khachatryans also were directly involved in the violence used against him. They hit him with hands and feet, M. Khachatryan hit M. Zaqaryan’s head with a cudgel.

During the same brawl YU. Manucharyan pushed H. Zaqaryan to the ground and twice hit his face with his feet. One of the strikes hit his frontal right part, the second hit the right eye which was resulted in loss of sight of the right eye inflicting heavy damage to his health.

On the base of the obtained evidence, Yuri Manucharyan was charged according to the Point 3 of the Part 1 of the Article 112 and the Part 2 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code.

The other 5 defendants were charged according to the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code.

Preliminary investigation is under way.
