Working Meeting on Application of New Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes at RA Investigative Committee (photos)

Working meeting on application of the new Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes, headed by the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan was held at the RA Investigative Committee.  

Within the framework of the issues involved in the agenda the directions of the activity of the working group formed to ensure the application of the new codes which will enter into force starting from July 1, 2022 and some urgent issues aimed at the proper implementation of the mentioned process were discussed.

Due to the adoption of the new Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes the members of the working group, formed for acquisition of logistic means, staff increase, organization of the work on awareness of staff on new legal regulations, reported about the process of the work done in the spheres coordinated by them and referred to the main things to do in the nearest future.
 

The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee A. Kyaramyan attached importance to the comprehensive and effective implementation of preparatory work started at the Investigative Committee to ensure the application of the above-mentioned new codes emphasizing the necessity of the activity of the formed group.

In his speech A. Kyaramyan also emphasized that it was necessary to analyze the legal regulations of the new codes and present information about predictions of expected increase or decrease in workload in parallel submitting proposals on the norms which could cause complications in legal practice.

The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee assigned the working group to work out new directions on the activity for the awareness and training of the new legal regulations to ensure the application of the above-mentioned new codes, together with the RA Ministry of Justice to work out samples of protocols of the procedural actions and decisions made by the investigator, as well as to study the new legal regulations of the new Criminal Procedure Code and send explanatory notices about them to the subdivisions conducting pretrial proceeding at the RA Investigative Committee.

Within the framework of the working meeting a decision was made to form an operative headquarter in order to respond quickly to legal issues requiring urgent solutions raised during the application of the norms of the new Criminal and Criminal Procedure Codes and work out the directions of its activity.

During the meeting other organizational issues were also discussed, among them the staff increases due to the statements of the new codes.
