A criminal case initiated on attempt to vote more than once
On December 25, 2015 materials prepared in Police Station of Goris on the base of the publication entitled “The camera of “Azatutyun” recorded attempt of double voting” inserted in the site “azatutyun.am” on December 6, 2015 were received in Goris Investigative Division of Syuniq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
It was found that the resident of Goris Artur Gyurjyan, being involved in the voter list of polling station N 37/02, on December 6, between 19:00 and 19:45 visited polling station N 37/09, received a ballot and approached the commission member who was to seal the ballot package and at that moment was in charge of the ballot box.
The latter noticed that in his passport there was a seal indicating that he had already participated in voting after which A. Gyurjyan left the polling station leaving the ballot. By the decision of the commission the mentioned ballot was considered void.
A criminal case was initiated in Goris Investigative Division of Syuniq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code. Preliminary investigation is conducted.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
