In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee circumstances of voting instead of other persons in polling station N 8/31 were found, the persons having committed the apparent crime were identified. Through investigation it was found that the member of the precinct electoral commission had supported to vote instead of another person.
 

Through preliminary investigation conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was grounded that during referendum on Constitutional reforms held on December 6, 2015 the voter of polling station N 8/31 N. Aleqsanyan went to the mentioned polling station to participate in voting and found that somebody else had already voted instead of him, so he decided to vote instead of his uncle. The commission member of polling station N 8/31 L. Aleqsanyan, learning of N. Aleqsanyan’s intention, allowed the latter to sign before his uncle’s data and vote thus supporting to vote instead of another person.
 

Besides, through investigation it was found that the commission member L. Aleqsanyan also voted personally instead of another person. Particularly, she filled in random passport data before the name of her cousin A. Aleqsanyan, who was in the Russian Federation, signed, sealed then voted instead of him.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against L. Aleqsanyan according to the Article 153 and the Article 38-153 of RA Criminal Code, N. Aleqsanyan was charged according to the Article 153 of RA Criminal Code.
 

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
 

Earlier it was informed that a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district on voting instead of N. Aleqsanyan. According to preliminary investigation data on December 6 the head of precinct electoral commission had voted instead of him and another voter. Charge was pressed against the head of electoral commission, as well and the criminal case was sent to court.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
