Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on voting instead of other persons in polling station N 9/17 was completed in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Norq-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
 

Through preliminary investigation conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was grounded that during referendum on Constitutional reforms held on December 6 other persons had voted instead of the voters of polling station N 9/17 Rena Stepanyants and Tigran Meliqyan.
 

According to preliminary investigation the secretary of the electoral commission of polling station N 9/17 H. Hovhannisyan filled in passport data of other persons before the names of the mentioned voters, signed and voted instead of them.
 

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against H. Hovhannisyan according to the Article 153 of RA Criminal Code.
 

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to the prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
 

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
