A criminal case initiated on shots fired in Kotayq according to 3 articles of RA Criminal Code
A criminal case was initiated in Kotayq Regional Investigative Department of RA Investigative Committee on theft attempt and firing shots which took place in the mentioned region, according to three articles of RA Criminal Code.
According to initial data on March 24 at about 10 two persons tried to enter one of the flats of a residential building in town Byureghhavan and the third waited outside. At that moment the hostess was at home. Noticing that some strangers were trying to open the door, she immediately called her husband. The latter hurried home and meeting the mentioned persons demanded explanation. The persons having committed the apparent crime threatened the household with a gun then escaped in a car waiting for them.
The household and his friend pursued the persons having attempted to enter his flat. On the third km of Abovyan-Nor Gegh road one of the mentioned persons, who was armed, got out of the car. During the row the household tried to neutralize the armed person in the result of which shots were fired. As a result, the armed person and the household sustained firearm injuries.
A criminal case was initiated according to the Articles 34-177, 137 and 235 of RA Criminal Code.
In the result of the taken measures the persons having committed the apparent crime were identified. Necessary investigative and procedural actions are carried out to provide the comprehensive examination of the circumstances of the case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
