Theft from Apartment Disclosed; Charge Pressed against Two Persons
In the result of investigatory actions conducted within the criminal case investigated in the proceeding of Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee theft was disclosed. Charge was pressed against two persons.
On November 13, 2018 at 15:15 a call was received from Kapan resident informing that theft had been committed from her apartment.
The investigatory-operative group headed by the investigator immediately left for the scene.
Pursuant to initial data, on November 13, 2018 at about 15:00 a group of people with prior agreement to steal somebody else’s property by opening the door lock with a customized object, illegally entered the apartment and stole money in significant amount.
On the same day a criminal case was initiated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 1.1 of the Part 3 of the Article 177 of RA Criminal Code.
In the result of investigatory and procedural actions, operative-intelligence measures of great volume the theft committed from the apartment was disclosed, the persons having committed the alleged crime were identified; they are residents of Kapan, born in 1996 and 1982, the actions of each of them were personalized.
Searches were conducted in their apartments, as prescribed by law. As a result, special objects customized to open door locks were found. Besides, greenish mass with special odor was found in one of the apartments. According to forensic chemical examination result the greenish mass was drug of “Marijuana” type.
On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 22 year-old and 36 year-old men according to the Point 1.1 of the Part 3 of the Article 177 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find out other possible committals committed by the same group, possible relation of others to them.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
