A criminal case was initiated in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on banditry committed in the village of Verin Ptghni.

On August 6, 2019 at 10:00 the resident of the village of Verin Ptghni submitted a report informing that on the same day at about 08:20 the person having committed the alleged crime, masked, entered the house through the balcony door, hit her causing bodily injuries, at knife point stole money, golden jewels and fled.

A criminal case was initiated in Abovyan Investigative Division of Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Points 2, 3 and 4 of the Part 2 of the Article 175 of RA Criminal Code. The resident of the village of Verin Ptghni was found the injured party.

During preliminary investigation a number of investigatory actions, inspection of the scene, confiscations were conducted.

Forensic medical and forensic biological examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Necessary measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
