Active investigatory actions are conducted in the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee to identify the client, all the members of the group having prepared particularly grave crime – murder.

In the result of investigation sufficient evidence were obtained on the identification of the person who had supported the preparation of murder against whom search was declared on May 27. On May 30 the latter was found in Tavush region and was brought to the investigative body. Today the senior investigator of particularly important cases pressed charge against the man, born in 1989, Armenian by nationality according to the Points 7, 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 38-35-104 of RA Criminal Code for supporting to the preparation of ordered murder by a group of people and submitted a motion to court to choose detention as a pretrial measure against him. It should also be noted that the person accused of supporting has been under persecution since 2007 on charge of evading military service.

It was earlier informed that on May 27 charge was pressed against 3 persons for preparation of killing a person by order, illegal procurement and keeping of weapon and ammunition according to the Points 7, 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 35-104 and the Part 2 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

Through investigation the person who had provided the group members with money to procure necessary means of transportation for preparation of particularly heavy crime was identified and it was found that phone cards of mobile operators of another country had been used to provide the communication between the group members.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary investigatory actions are conducted to find all circumstances of the case, the range of those possibly related to preparation of particularly grave crime and to individualize their actions.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
