In the framework of the criminal case investigated in Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of RF citizen, Armenian, physicist Armen Mnatsakanyan search was declared against the resident of Vanadzor, an entrepreneur. On the base of the evidence obtained through investigation the investigator made a decision to involve him as a defendant according to 3 articles of RA Criminal Code.
 

It was earlier informed that on July 3, 2016 a call was received from medical center of Vanadzor informing that the body of Armen Mnatsakanyan, born in 1961, with “firearm injury on the left part of the chest and scratches on the left arm” was taken to medical center. It was found that A. Mnatsakanyan’s body was taken to medical center from the field near Vanadzor.
 

A criminal case was initiated in Lori Regional Investigative Department on murder and necessary urgent investigatory actions were conducted to find the circumstances of the case.
 

Through initial investigation sufficient evidence were obtained on the allegation that firearm injury incompatible with life was inflicted to A. Mnatsakanyan during the row in which an entrepreneur engaged in selling flowers was involved.
 

According to investigation data on July 3, 2016 at the request of A. Mnatsakanyan’s friend R. Martirosyan a third person gave a banknote of 5000 AMD nominal value to the entrepreneur engaged in selling flowers asking to change it. A row over money erupted which continued in the field near the highway of Vanadzor where the latter and R. Martirosyan were separated to talk. During the argument shots were fired towards R. Martirosyan but the bullets did not hit him. Hearing the shots A. Mnatsakanyan approached them and tried to calm them down during which a shot was fired from the same firearm towards the left part of the chest of the scientist inflicting injury incompatible with life.
  

On the base of the obtained evidence on July 5, 2016 a decision was made to involve the entrepreneur as a defendant according to the Part 1 of the Article 104, the Point 1 of the Part 2 of the Article 34-104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code and search was declared against him. On the same day a decision was made to use detention as a pretrial measure against him.

The appropriate officials of the police were tasked to take necessary operative-searching measures to find the entrepreneur and bring him to the investigative body.
 

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
