The RA Investigative Committee continues the series of solemn events marking the 10th anniversary of its establishment. Within its framework, on July 26 Argishti Kyaramyan, the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee and the entire leadership team of the Committee visited Gavar, the center of the RA Gegharkunik region.

Karen Sargsyan, the Governor of the RA Gegharkunik region, as well as the heads of regional law enforcement bodies, also joined the festive events.

These jubilee events were launched at St. Astvatsatsin Church, the seat of the Gegharkunik Diocese, where a candlelight vigil was held.

Then, with participation of Argishti Kyaramyan, Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee, a solemn ceremony was held to transfer the newly acquired electric vehicles, which were part of the pilot program implemented by the RA Investigative Committee, to 10 subdivisions of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Cars of “BYD” make, with the insignia of the RA Investigative Committee, purchased with funds allocated from the state budget and in full compliance with the tender procedure, will serve the investigators of the mentioned subdivisions for the purposes of traveling to the scene and performing other necessary actions arising from their functions.

The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee congratulated the subdivisions of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA IC on this important acquisition, expressing confidence that it will significantly impact the conduction of urgent investigative actions, particularly the previously identified location-based issues, and will enhance the operational efficiency of the actions.

Then, the delegation visited the Gavar Memorial Wall-Passport Monument, where the history of the town’s creation and development was presented to the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee and other guests next to the cuneiform inscription of the founding of the town of Gavar.

Argishti Kyaramyan and Deputies Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee, heads of the main subdivisions of the RA IC, paying tribute, laid flowers at the monuments perpetuating the memories of the holy martyrs of the Armenian Genocide, the heroes who died in the Artsakh wars, as well as the sons of Armenia who died in the Patriotic War of 1941-45.

The delegation of the RA Investigative Committee also visited the exhibition of paintings and sculptures by gifted children of employees of the RA Investigative Committee, organized at the Drama Theater after Levon Kalantar in Gavar, on the occasion of the Committee's 10th anniversary, got acquainted with the presented works and interacted with the children.

The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee considered it symbolic to mark the anniversary of a young but established system with works of employees' children, which expresses the message of looking to the future imbued with bright colors, confidence, and spiritual values.
