On October 11 a solemn event dedicated to the 10-year anniversary of the establishment of the RA Investigative Committee was held at National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiaryan. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan was present at it.

The President of the RA Constitutional Court, Deputies of the RA National Assembly, members of the RA Government, heads of the RA law enforcement bodies, judicial legal system, as well as accredited diplomatic missions in Armenia, board members, employees of the RA Investigative Committee, veterans of the system and other invitees also took part in the event.

The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made a speech. The RA Prime Minister congratulated the employees of the system on the occasion of 10-year jubilee of the establishment of the RA Investigative Committee, referred to the course of reforms implemented in the law enforcement systems of Armenia, expectations of the state and the public regarding justice and the realization of justice from the legal system.

The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan made a congratulatory speech. The Chairman of the Committee briefly presented the historical and political prerequisites for the formation of the structure, the main realities of the 10-year way of the Committee.

Argishti Kyaramyan underlined that stipulated by the establishment of the Committee in 2014, realization of the conceptual goal of forming a body conducting preliminary investigation outside of the unified, departmental subordination became possible only as a result of the unprecedented processes of democratic reforms developing in our country in recent years.

The establishment of the “Expert Criminalistics Center of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia” SNCO this year, according to the Government’s decision, was considered an important achievement which will give an opportunity to increase the effectiveness of criminalistics support in the course of implementation of evidentiary and other procedural actions, to provide quicker investigation.

Argishti Kyaramyan emphasized that as a result of the legislative change initiated by the Government the social guarantees of investigators have significantly increased, thereby increasing the attractiveness of serving in the Committee. The latter, in its turn, made it possible to introduce higher standards of checking and evaluating the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of those applying for service, as well as their psychological and moral qualities.

Argishti Kyaramyan also spoke about the vision of the development of the Investigative Committee noting that the overarching goal is providing the RA citizen with effective services which should be implemented by providing a quicker and better investigation.

On the occasion of the 10-year anniversary of the formation of the RA Investigative Committee 9 employees of several subdivisions of the Committee, holding autonomous position, were awarded with a commemorative medal of the RA Prime Minister, a letter of thanks and a valuable gift. During the event an award ceremony was held.

The solemn event continued with cultural part during which the historical values ​​of the development of law and legal thought in Armenia, the mission of the RA Investigative Committee and the tireless work of investigators in protecting the rule of law in the country and in the field of criminal justice were valued with unique artistic solutions and concert performances.
