A criminal case was initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of the resident of Geghamavan village H. Zakaryan, born in 1962.

On July 8, 2018 a call was received in Sevan Police Division from «Sevan Medical Center» SNCO informing that the resident of Geghamavan village of Gegharkunik region, born in 1962, with numerous cut-pierced penetrating injuries on the chest and the abdomen was taken to medical center where he died on the same day at 21:55.

A criminal case was initiated on H. Zakaryan's murder in the RA IC Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department, investigatory and operative-searching measures of great volume were taken to find out the circumstances of sustaining bodily injuries incompatible with life by the victim.

Pursuant to initial data, on July 8, 2018 at about 20:30 in the village of Geghamavan of Gegharkunik region a row on domestic matters erupted between the fellow villagers during which H. Zakaryan was inflicted the mentioned injuries with a knife.

Two people were arrested. Investigation is conducted to find out all circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
