A criminal case was initiated in Sevan Investigative Division of Gegharquniq Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of 28 year-old young man; one person was arrested.

On July 30, 2017 at about 19:00 on the 63d section of Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan road shots were fired. As a result, the resident of Ararat region, born in 1989, died of firearm injury he had sustained on his left temporal area.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Sevan Investigative Division of Gegharquniq Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.

On the same day the person having committed the alleged crime turned himself to the investigative body, presented the hunting gun which was the crime tool. The latter was arrested.  

Pursuant to initial data, on July 30, 2017 at about 18:50 a brawl took place on one of the beaches of Sevan Lake and the man, born in 1957, 28 year-old young man had taken part in the brawl after which at 19:15 the resident of Gegharquniq region, born in 1957, was taken to “Sevan” medical center – dead.

Through investigation it was also found that the arrested person was the dead man’s son.

Investigation is conducted, measures are taken to provide the objective, complete and comprehensive investigation of circumstances of the case.
