Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on attempting to vote instead of other persons in polling station N 29/25 was completed in Spitak Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

Through preliminary investigation conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was grounded that during referendum on Constitutional reforms – on December 6, 2015 at about 16:30 the resident of Spitak N. Darchinyan entered polling station N 29/25 located in Italian district of town Spitak and attempted to vote instead of other persons through casting the voted ballots into the ballot box. However, he could not accomplish the crime under unforeseen circumstances as the commission member L. Davtyan noticed and prevented.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against N. Darchinyan according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code for attempt to vote instead of another person. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

The criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to prosecutor supervising the legality of preliminary investigation.
