Preliminary investigation of the criminal cases initiated on hooliganism with weapon, combined with violence against police officers committed by a group of people was completed in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of large-scale investigative and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal cases circumstances, the motive, the whole frame of those having committed the alleged crime were found out, the actions of each of them were personalized and criminal-legal assessments were given.

Pursuant to factual data obtained through investigation, on June 21, 2021 an accident occurred in the gas station operating in Tashir town; at about 20:50 38 year-old resident of Lori, emphasizing his own self, argued with the resident of the same region for a long time for moving his car late from the gas distribution point of the gas station located in Tashir town, hit him on different parts of his body, pulled, scolded him during which he also hit one of the citizens on the face who wanted to calm them down. Then he fired a shot from a gun causing bodily injuries to two employees of the gas station.

After the accident 38 year-old man left the gas station, one of the employees who had received firearm injuries called his brother who worked in Tashir Police Division for help. At about 21:00 the latter arriving at the scene together with the employees of Tashir Police Division, tried to find out what had happened and 38 year-old man’s friends intervened in it. The latters, showing obvious disrespect, scolded for a long time, argued with 8 police officers who were carrying out their service duties. Using violence against them they hit them with hands and feet causing bodily injuries not containing features of light damage, disturbed the normal work of the gas station, displayed obvious disrespect against those present and spoilt the car of «BMW E 60» make parked at the scene.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against 38 year-old man according to the Part 4 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code, detention was used as a pretrial measure against him. Charge was pressed against the other 14 men according to the Points 1 and 2 of the Part 3 of the Article 258 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against them.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the motion to confirm the bill of indictment and send it to court was sent to the prosecutor.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
