The result of the forensic ballistic examination, conducted in the framework of the criminal case on murder of the Avetisyans family committed in Gyumri on January 12, received

Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on murder of the Avetisyans family committed in Gyumri is ongoing in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee. The result of the forensic ballistic examination conducted in the framework of it was received.
 

Taking the public demand on the mentioned case into consideration, we inform that by the experts’ assessments the shells found at the site and submitted to examination were shot from a rifle “AKC-74” which was attached to the defendant V. Permyakov and was found at the site.
 

Thus, according to the conclusion of the experts, the rifle submitted to examination was  of “AKC-74” type of 5.45 mm caliber produced in 1981, combat firearm, fit to fire a single shot or continuously with combat bullets of 5.45 mm (5.45x39). The submitted bullets were factory produced combat bullets of 5.45 mm (5.45x39) fit for shooting and are considered ammunition.
 

The experts recorded that the shells submitted to examination were parts of factory produced combat bullets of 5.45 mm (5.45x39) fired from the rifle of the mentioned type - “AKC-74”. According to the experts, the balls submitted to examination were also fired from the same rifle of “AKC-74” type.
