There was not a deafening device fixed on the rifle; the result of the complex examinations received
In the framework of the criminal case investigated in General Department of Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of RA Investigative Committee initiated on murder of the Avetisyans family in Gyumri the result of complex forensic ballistic, forensic chemical and forensic traceological examinations were received.
Taking the public interest into consideration, we inform that according to the result of the examination, the possible hypothesis according to which a deafening device was fixed at the rifle “AKC-74” found at the site was denied.
Thus, according to the result of forensic examination, traces of fixing or removing a deafening device on the rifle or remains of foreign substance were not found. According to the microscopic examination of fired balls, a cover and a core of a fired ball, traces of firing with a deafening weapon or remains of foreign substance were not found, either.
According to the results of forensic examination, the damages found on the furniture, blankets, covers and walls of the house 188, Myasnikyan Str., as well as on victims’ clothes, were inflicted with balls of 5.45 mm calibers and their fragments. According to the forensic ballistic examination, the capsules, balls found at the site and submitted to expert examination were fired from the rifle “AKC-74” which had been attached to the defendant V. Permyakov.
According to the experts, plating traces of copper and antimony left in the result of firing were found on the military uniform found at the site.
Such traces were also found on the parts of firearm damages located on the victims’ clothes, two blankets which were on the bed of the first bedroom, the blanket, cover which were on the big bed of the second bedroom.
According to the result of the examination, the cut-pierced damages found on the clothes, cover and sheet of minor Seryozha Avetisyan could be caused in the result of the impact of the blade of the bayonet-knife submitted to the expert examination, as well as in the result of the impact of the blade of other similar one-bladed tool(s) with a cutting-piercing blade.
The bayonet-knife found at the site and submitted to the examination is a second model bayonet-knife of factory production designed for rifle “AKM”, (in future also “AK-74”, “AKC-74”) and is considered a combat cold weapon. Plating traces of copper left in the result of firing were found at the connection section of the handle of the mentioned bayonet-knife and the blade.
On the bayonet-knife the experts found cotton yellowish transparent, chemical yellowish transparent, green and light green unique microfibers fit for comparative examination which have a common gender belonging with the appropriate microfibers available in the fabric composition of Seryozha Avetisyan’s waistcoat.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
