Investigative and procedural actions are conducted within the framework of the criminal proceeding initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 155, the Point 7 of the Part 2 of the Article 44-155 and the Part 1 of the Article 335 of RA Criminal Code to find out circumstances of one person’s murder as well as murder attempt committed against another person.

Pursuant to initial data, on September 24, 2022 at about 20:30 shots were fired towards a group of people during the argument that took place in Vantyan Street, Yerevan during which one of them was murdered, another person with firearm injuries was taken to medical center.

Through the inspection of the scene conducted during preliminary investigation the body of the mentioned man was found, a number of persons were questioned, forensic medical examination of the body, forensic genetic, forensic ballistic, forensic chemical complex examinations were commissioned.

In the result of taken measures the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1995.

The latter was arrested on the base of reasonable suspicion on crime committal.

On September 25, 2022 at 04:00 a call was received from “Astghik” medical center informing that the man taken to medical center with firearm injuries had died.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.

 Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
