Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out all circumstances of 28 year-old woman’s murder. 34 year-old citizen of Georgia was arrested on suspicion of committing the alleged crime.

On September 2, 2019 at 12:00 a call was received in the Police from a resident of Yerevan informing that there was a woman's body with traces of violence and injuries in one of the apartments of the house situated in Bryusov Street.

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the scene and found the body of the resident of Yerevan, born in 1991, with traces of violence on the neck and different parts of the body.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code.

During preliminary investigation urgent investigatory and other procedural actions were conducted, including external inspection of the body, inspection of the scene during which sample were taken, confiscations were conducted.

A number of forensic examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

In the result of operative-intelligence measures taken jointly by the officers of the RA Police and National Security Service a number of circumstances of the case were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a citizen of the Republic of Georgia, born in 1984. The latter was found, brought to the investigative body and arrested on suspicion of committing murder. Through his personal search mobile phone and bank cards, which belonged to the victim, were found.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.
