On June 7, 2020 at 00:05 a call was received from a citizen informing that there was a young man lying in front of the market «Max» located in S. Taronts Street, Yerevan, shots were heard.

The investigatory-operative group left for the scene and through inspection the body of the resident of Yerevan, born in 1982, with firearm injuries was found. A syringe with reddish-brown liquid was found in the sock of his left foot. 8 capsules and 2 balls fired from a pistol of «Makarov» type of 9mm caliber were also found at the scene.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 235 (illegal procurement, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices) and the Part 1 of the Article 104 (murder) of RA Criminal Code.

On the same day 32 year-old resident of Yerevan turned himself to Shengavit Police Division and through his personal search a pistol of «Makarov» type of 9mm caliber was found and confiscated.

The latter was arrested on suspicion of 38 year-old man's murder.

During preliminary investigation a number of people were questioned, forensic examinations were commissioned, confiscations were conducted.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
