In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative districts of the RA Investigative Committee the person who had attempted to vote instead of another person in polling station N 03/06 was identified.

The publication on the allegation that cases of voting instead of another person were recorded in polling station N 03/06 during referendum on Constitutional reforms inserted in the site “asparez.am” was received in the Investigative Division of Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative district. A video on the mentioned electoral breach was also inserted in the same site.

In the result of investigatory actions conducted in the framework of the criminal case it was found that the member of the precinct electoral commission of the same polling station, the resident of Yerevan A. Ghazaryan had attempted to vote instead of other persons in the mentioned polling station.

Through preliminary investigation it was found that the member of the precinct electoral commission of polling station N 03/06 A. Ghazaryan had attempted to vote instead of 5 persons registered in the same address writing false data in the voting register. However, under unforeseen circumstances, he could not accomplish the crime.

On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against A. Ghazaryan according to the Article 34-153 of RA Criminal Code. Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against him. On January 22 the defendant was told about the completion of preliminary investigation.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
