Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of murder committed in Vardashen Street.

On October 22, 2019 at 01:05 a call was received from a citizen in the operative management center of Yerevan City Department of the RA Police informing that murder had been committed in one of the apartments located in Vardashen Street.

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the scene. In the result of measure taken at the scene the body of the resident of the mentioned apartment, a woman, born in 1955, with a cut-lacerated wound on the neck as well as numerous cut-pierced wounds on the chest and abdomen was found.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Point 8 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. An investigator plan was worked out.

A number of forensic examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case. Instructions were given to the relevant subdivision of the Police to take necessary measures to find the person (persons) having committed the alleged crime and to bring him (them) to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
