Murder in Yerevan; numerous firearm injuries found on victim's body
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of 38 year-old Arshak Galstyan. Active investigatory and operative-searching measures are taken to find the frame of those possibly involved in murder.
The body of 38 year-old Arshak Galstyan with firearm injuries was found on December 6, 2017 at about 00:25 in his car of “Nissan” make parked at 13/2, Babajanyan Street.
Pursuant to initial data of body inspection conducted by experts firearm injuries were found on his forearm and arm, at the area of his left shoulder, on lateral surface of the left half of his neck, on frontal surface of the left part of the chest, on lateral upper third right part of the neck, on the right shoulder. Through inspection of the site 6 bullets of 5.45 mm caliber and one ball - on the front right seat of the car were found and confiscated.
On December 6, 2017 a criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code, an investigatory plan was worked out and investigatory and operative-searching measures of great volume were taken to find all circumstances of the case.
As a result, actual data were obtained on the allegation that shots had been fired towards A. Galstyan by a person who was in another car, the car make was found, the person having fired shots was identified, his relation with the victim was also found. The relevant subdivisions of the police were tasked to take measures to find the person having committed the alleged crime and bring him to the investigative body.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing, active investigatory actions are conducted to find all circumstances of the case, the frame of those possibly involved in murder, the degree of their roles, to personalize the actions of each of them.
