In the result of large-scale investigative and other procedural actions conducted in the Investigative Division of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee murder committed about 7 years before was disclosed.

On September 18, 2014 a call was received from “Erebuni” medical center informing that on the same day at 15:10 a resident of Yerevan, born in 1981, with a firearm injury on the frontal part of the abdomen was taken to hospital. In some hours the latter died.

A criminal case was initiated according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.

In the result of taken measures it was found out that the murder had been committed at the crossroad of Nor-Aresh 9 and 42 streets of Yerevan. Through inspection of the scene 8 capsules, blood-like traces as well as a number of items were found. The videos captured by the cameras of the shop located at the scene were confiscated and examined.

During preliminary investigation, in 2014 the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is 45 year-old resident of Yerevan. In the result of taken measures the car of “VAZ 2107” make owned by the latter was found through inspection of which the instrument of the crime – firearm of “Sayga” model was found.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the latter according to the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code, he was involved as a defendant, detention was chosen as a pretrial measure and search was declared against him.

On April 11, 2022 45 year-old man turned himself to the investigative body.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary measures are taken to find out all circumstances, to provide the objective and comprehensive investigation of the case.
