Preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated on 54 year-old man’s murder was completed in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.

In the result of investigative and other procedural actions conducted within the criminal case circumstances significant for the criminal case were found out.

Particularly, through investigation it was found out and grounded that on June 4, 2021 at about 20:30 an argument about domestic matters took place between the resident of Shengavit administrative district, born in 1966 and the latter’s nephew living in the same house together with him. During the argument the man scolded and tried to hit his nephew with a piece of wood after which the latter punched his uncle on the face and stabbed him on the chest. After the incident the man entered the house and the next day - on June 5 at about 15:30 the latter’s sister found her brother dead.

Forensic medical examination was commissioned to find out the degree of gravity of the victim’s bodily injury as well as other circumstances.

Pursuant to the expert’s conclusion the reason of the man’s death was the acute blood loss caused by the cut-pierced injury on the frontal left part of the chest.

On the base of the obtained sufficient evidence charge was pressed against the victim’s nephew according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 of RA Criminal Code. Detention was used as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation was completed and the criminal case with the motion to confirm the bill of indictment and send it to court was sent to prosecutor.
