The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan Received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the RA (photos)

On November 16 the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan received the delegation headed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri.

During the meeting the parties discussed issues related to the cooperation of the law enforcement bodies of the two countries as well as comprehensive framework of issues of mutual interest.

In his speech Argishti Kyaramyan emphasized the significant realities of the centuries-old Armenian-Iranian friendship and stated the importance of the stable relationship at this stage. The IC Chairman highly assessed the long-term effective cooperation within the framework of the agreement on legal cooperation within civil and criminal cases between the Republic of Armenia and the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressed confidence that the formed traditions and cooperation will be continuous including the most promising directions.

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia thanked for the meeting and attached importance to the priorities of providing efficient communications, proper exchange of information and legal aid in the law enforcement system.

The parties also referred to the opportunities to further expand connections between the RA Investigative Committee and the IRI law enforcement bodies and reached agreement to take necessary measures within the mentioned process.

In order to organize the cooperative programs in a more efficient way the Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee and the IRI Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the RA also discussed the opportunities to apply a format for appointing relevant representatives for the Committee and the Embassy.
