Investigation is conducted in the Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee to find out circumstances of 65 year-old man’s death. The victim’s brother was arrested.

On June 25, 2019 at 12:20 the resident of Yerevan, born in 1957, submitted a report in Malatia Police Division informing that on the previous day on the evening of June 24 in his apartment he quarreled with his brother, born in 1954, during which he hit him with feet on different parts of his body. Pursuant to the report, next day on June 25, 2019 at about 11:30 65 year-old man died.  

The investigatory-operative group immediately left for the scene. Through external inspection of 65 year-old man’s body numerous injuries were found on the head, face and chest.

A criminal case was initiated in the RA IC Investigative Division of Malatia-Sebastia administrative districts of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Point 14 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. The man, born in 1954, was found the injured party. His 61 year-old brother was arrested on suspicion of committing the alleged crime and questioned.

During preliminary investigation urgent investigatory actions were conducted – inspection of the scene, interrogations, the clothes the victim and the person having committed the alleged crime were wearing at the moment of the incident were confiscated, samples were taken, forensic medical examination of the body, forensic biological, forensic genetic examinations were commissioned.

Preliminary investigation is under way. Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find out all circumstances of the case, to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation, to verify the circumstances mentioned in testimonies. Instructions were given to the police.
