The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Armenia Nicholas Jakob Schermers.
 

Greeting the Ambassador in the RA Investigative Committee Argishti Kyaramyan noted that the relations between Armenia and the Netherlands develop on the base of mutual trust which is manifested also in the field of legal cooperation. The Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee expressed satisfaction with the fact that all investigative requests of the RA Investigative Committee within criminal proceedings addressed to the competent authorities of the Netherlands are implemented in a very short period of time and with high efficiency. Currently, there are no unfulfilled or pending legal requests sent by the RA Investigative Committee or received from the relevant authorities in the Netherlands.

Argishti Kyaramyan expressed hope that in the result of active activity of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Armaenia the relations based on the mutual trust between the law enforcement bodies of the two countries will develop further.
 

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Netherlands Nicholas Schermers, in his turn, emphasized the effectiveness of uninterrupted cooperation between Armenia and the Netherlands in the field of law enforcement assuring that the Embassy will make every effort to raise them to a higher level. He added that the fact that the central offices of the "Eurojust" Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation of European Union and the EU agency for law enforcement cooperation Europol are located in the Netherlands, with whom RA law enforcement agencies are closely cooperating, also stimulates it.
 

During the meeting the possibilities of implementing programs aimed at the expert support in individual areas of fight against crime, as well as the exchange of information and experience, ways to increase the efficiency of communication between the RA Investigative Committee and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Armenia, as well as other issues of mutual interest were discussed.
