RA Investigative Committee Appeals once more to Pursue Proper Implementation of Commandant’s Decisions and Obey Legal Demands of Law Enforcement Bodies
Criminal cases on not obeying the police officers’ legal demands related to failing to comply with the requirements of the RA commandant’s decisions in the state of emergency and using violence against them, as well as committing hooliganism are investigated in the RA Investigative Committee.
Since the moment of declaring a state of emergency, 10 criminal cases have been investigated in the Investigative Committee 4 of which – in regional investigative departments, 6 – in subdivisions of Yerevan Investigative Department.
At this moment 8 criminal cases are still being investigated 7 of which - according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 (violence against representative of authorities), 1 – according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 and the Part 1 of the Article 258 (hooliganism) of RA Criminal Code. One criminal case initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 and the Part 1 of the Article 309.1(torture) was sent to the RA Special Investigatory Service according to investigatory subordination. Preliminary investigation of one more criminal case initiated according to the Part 1 of the Article 316 of RA Criminal Code was completed and the criminal case with the bill of indictment was sent to court.
Within the mentioned criminal cases investigated in the proceeding of the RA Investigative Committee there are 9 defendants, detention was chosen as a pretrial measure against one of them, signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against 7, mortgage was used against 1, handing to parent’s control was used against 1 and one person is a suspect.

We appeal to the citizens to pursue the proper implementation of the requirements and rules of commandant’s decisions during the state of emergency, to obey the legal demands of the RA police officers as well as officers of other law enforcement bodies in order to SAVE LIVES.
