Representative of Investigative Committee took part in Sixth Regional Seminar on International Humanitarian Law in Minsk

From 8 to 10 November, 2017 the Sixth Regional Seminar on International Humanitarian Law was held in Minsk, Belarus under the auspices of the International Committee of Red Cross and supported by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

The Head of the Division of Provision of International Requests of the RA Investigative Committee T. Hovhannisyan also took part in the event which was dedicated to the 40th anniversary of adoption of Additional Protocols in 1977 attached to Geneva Conventions of 1949.

The President of ICRC Peter Maurer, international experts, representatives of ICRC and other organizations were also present at the seminar.

Key issues such as issues related to implementation of International Humanitarian Law (IHL), issues on the role of national interdepartmental committees and other bodies in IHL application at domestic level, latest developments of weapons and IHL and further challenges, the issue of those missing from the point of view of politics and humanism, as well as a wide range of other ones were discussed during the seminar.
